"if you happen to see them on the road when things start to get serious, don't wave: it'll only encourage them"

Used to great effect in superbike racing and by thousands of motorcycle riders around the globe, Team Wiggle Tandem use Autocom multi way, voice activated radio transceivers to keep in contact on the road. David first used Autocom systems when testing motorcycles for TV motoring programme 'Torque Show' where he was able to broadcast directly from riding the machine to the audio input channels of the filming cameraman at roadside and the cross over to the Team Wiggle Tandem project seemed ideal.
There are extremely strict rules in road record breaking about the use of communications and specifically what information can be passed from following cars to rider.
The use of radios has allowed Team Wiggle Tandem to virtually eliminate the need to stop in advance for food pick-ups or mechanical problems. Instead the information is passed back to lead car or mechanics car by the rider pairing allowing the support crew to prepare for either a roadside musette pick up or an enforced mechanic stop well in advance.
Transceiver units are small and light, stored in a specially added soft pocket in the back of the Bioracer skinsuit each unit is tuneable for wind noise and battery life is approximately 12 hours.
